Rizzo Engineering offers its services for Geophysical/Topographic, Geotechnical and Environmental Investigations.

• Geophysical/Topographic Surveys include topographic surveys, bathymetry surveys, sub-bottom profiling, ultra-high resolution seismic acquisition. Results of geophysical surveys are conducive to refine the scope for the geotechnical investigation;
• Geotechnical Surveys include sampling/coring drilling as well as seabed or downhole in-situ testing (Piezocone Penetration Testing, Standard Penetration Testing, Vane Shear Testing, T-bar Testing). During the sampling activities Rizzo Engineering provides geotechnical experts to properly classify and describe the recovered samples by means of field laboratory testing. Samples are selected for routine and advanced testing.

Laboratory Testing is a fundamental stage for the Site Characterization.  The testing strategy shall target the project needs in terms of prevention of geo-related hazards and engineering requirements. The geotechnical laboratory testing aims to determine classification and mechanical properties of selected soil specimens. Rizzo Engineering provides geotechnical experts and consultants to cope with the most efficient progress in the laboratory testing phase.

Site Characterization integrates information gathered during site investigation and laboratory testing taking into account the geological framework at site and the geotechnical properties of the soils.
